The Spookies are Upon Us

September in my house is the beginning of all things “spooky.” This is the time when the Halloween decorations are brought out from storage, when Halloween decor is flooding the stores and when I personally feel the happiest. Now don’t get me wrong, I love summer just as much as the next person, but this Jacksonville sun is just too hot in the summer. It’s like being baked alive. Those memes you’ve seen are definitely true.

The “Bers” (especially September and October) are the months I dream about. (Right after my birthday month and right before December.) Being the type of person I am, these months allow me to showcase the other side of me; the Spooky Chenele. I have been waiting for the pumpkin patches and the Halloween movies to flood Netflix. I could do without all the “pumpkin spice” flavored nonsense… I have eagerly awaited the Halloween events and Spirit Halloween stores to pop up and this year since I’m in a house I can ACTUALLY decorate the outside which means I get to buy MORE Halloween decor. I have already finished my 31 days of October photo “challenge”. Not only will it bring a themed month into my Instagram grid, but it’ll help me keep my promise of new content. Feel free to use this for your 31 days of October, but make sure you tag me so I can like all your pictures!

After scrolling through a few Facebook events, there are a number of events going down for Spooktober so I will be posting reviews for those as well on here. As well as weekly Halloween recipes that I will be trying for the month. This is truly an exciting time to be alive and I cannot wait for the “Bers”.
